Hair salon · Johor
A salon has no tables and no food.
Toyako is a hair salon chain in Johor. Pip holds conversations about salon services, in more than one language.
Customers explain what they want and show hairstyle references on their phones. A stylist takes over for the consultation and the booking.
Nothing in this venue resembles a restaurant. That is why it matters.

What we loaded
A salon is not a smaller restaurant.
Everything Pip could say had to be loaded, and given limits.
- The company story, and four branches with their opening hours
- Every service, and how long each one takes
- How the price changes, and what it must never quote
- Topics it must never discuss
- One person to hand the customer to, and a rule that it guides bookings but never makes them
Magic Mirror
See the haircut before the haircut.
We built Magic Mirror for Toyako. A customer says “magic mirror” and picks a hairstyle. With their consent, Pip takes their photo and shows them with the new look. A QR code saves the picture, and a stylist confirms what is possible.

Step 1
Say the words
A customer says “magic mirror” to start.

Step 2
Pick a style
Twelve hairstyles, or a photo from their phone.

Step 3
Take the photo
With consent, Pip counts down and takes the photo.

Step 4
See the new look
A QR code saves it. A stylist confirms the price.
Magic Mirror photographs are from a function test at Toyako on 5 September 2026. The person in them is a tester, not a customer.
